If only you knew ... Preventive medicine lets you!
Our dogs and cats age on average 7 times faster than us. It is therefore not so surprising to find that their sexual maturity is reached around the age of 12 to 15 months depending on the size of the animal. A pet becomes a senior at around 5 to 7 years old. Therefore, it is important to monitor their health closely to quickly detect health problems.
Our pets are unable to tell us how they are feeling. It’s usually their body language or behavior that gives us the suspicion that something is wrong. Now you can take action to help your pet stay healthy and fight disease faster. Knowing the warning signs along with regular check-ups including a physical exam, blood tests and urinalysis are the best ways to ensure your pet has a long, happy and healthy life.

Once the test results are collected and analyzed, your veterinarian will contact you to discuss the results. If any abnormalities are detected, the veterinarian can then advise you on specific care for the needs of your animal and sometimes additional tests to better assess the situation. If the results are within normal limits, this will confirm that your pet’s overall health is doing well. You will be reassured and you can congratulate yourself for actively participating in what it preserves. We will see you again in 1 year.
