HOW TO PREPARE FOR A TELEMEDICINE CONSULTATION?

In order to make good use of the time during your consultation, we suggest you have on hand:

  • A list of questions, including the list of symptoms that worry you;
  • All information that you consider relevant or that has been requested from you (e.g.: weight, height, blood pressure values, blood sugar values, etc.);
  • The list of your medications and natural products, including doses;

At least 10 minutes before the appointment, make sure:

  • That the equipment necessary for videoconferencing is working (microphone, camera, speaker) and that your Internet connection is stable;
  • To have access to the telemedicine platform used by your medical team.

HOW DOES A TELEMEDICINE CONSULTATION WORK?

Your consultation will be handled by a trained and graduated technician. She will carry out a complete review of your animal’s situation, its medical history, observe it as well as the photos and videos that you want to share with her. Please note that even if the veterinarian is not present during the call, the technician met will record all photos and video in your animal’s medical file and then confirm the treatment plan with the treating veterinarian before issuing any final recommendations.

HOW TO OBTAIN THE MEDICATIONS?

Option 1: By the online store

When the medicine is available through the online store, we will be able to add it to your profile so that you can order and pay for it through your portal. You can receive it directly at home, at work, at the chalet…. You can even renew it directly from the online store.

A $20 shipping fee will be applied to the transaction.

Option 2: By delivery from Vet & Cie

For medications not available in the online store, your prescription can be prepared by the Vet & Cie medical team, then sent by mail as quickly as possible. Variable shipping costs will be added to the price of the telemedicine consultation and the medication, depending on the location of receipt.

Option 3: By an external prescription

When applicable, our medical team can provide you with an external prescription at no additional cost, so that you can obtain the medication from your local veterinarian or pharmacy.

WHAT ARE THE EXCLUSIONS?

  • New clients, except when travel is impossible for the client (example: remote areas without access to a treating veterinarian);
  • Sick animal (vomiting, diarrhea, amorphous)
  • All conditions requiring palpation, auscultation, etc.

Telemedicine consultation: $99
Includes external prescription. Cost of medications and shipping extra.


Telemedicine follow-up appointment: $45

WHAT IS THE DURATION ?

The teleconsultation lasts a maximum of 15 minutes.

HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?

You can use our online payment tool to pay the invoice as soon as you make your appointment. This tool ensures the security of customers’ personal and banking data.
